Our Mission

Our mission is to inform, inspire, and empower citizens to participate fully in their democracy.

Dedicated to promoting civic engagement and good government, we serve the voters of Key West and Monroe County through trusted forums, debates, candidate and campaign education, and digital engagement that foster respectful dialogue, informed decision-making, and a stronger, more connected community.

Our Policy

To support our mission, Hometown! encourages all residents of Key West and Monroe County to:

• Exercise their rights of citizenship

• Get involved in community affairs

• Consider running for public office

Hometown! remains strictly nonpartisan:

• We do not rate, endorse, or contribute to political candidates

• We do not participate in or intervene in any political campaign

Board members may not make public statements in support of or against candidates in their official capacity. When speaking as private citizens, they must clearly state they are not representing Hometown!

Hometown! is a non-partisan 501(c) (3) organization created to promote good government.

We believe good government is achieved through qualified candidates, informed voters and the election of dedicated public servants, regardless of political party. Your support of Hometown! goes toward voter outreach, candidate and voter education, workshops, public forums & events and administrative fees.
