The 2020 elections are upon us and Hometown! Key West is calling on Key West and Monroe County incumbents, prospective candidates and those merely “testing the waters” to its CALL for CANDIDATES event on Monday, April 1, 2019, 5 P.M. at Salute Restaurant, on Higgs Beach in Key West. Admission is free; there will be complimentary appetizers and cash bar.
All prospective candidates will be afforded an opportunity to address the voters and make their pitch for election support. Hometown! will video the event and post the video on its YouTube channel.
The 2020 elections for Key West and Monroe County include Florida State Senator and State Representative, three County Commission seats, two School Board and three Florida Keys Mosquito Control District seats, State Attorney, Key West Mayor and three Key West City Commission seats. There will also be an election for two seats on the Keys Energy Utility Board—one for Key West and one for the Lower Keys.
