Rachel Oropeza is a fourth-generation Conch who is the Director of the President’s Office at The College of the Florida Keys. With a long history of work in the hospitality industry, she also has past experience as an aide in the Florida Legislature.“Having grown up in Key West, with years of community service, I have the knowledge and strong skill set to become a contributing part of the Utility Board,” stated Rachel. “Key West is my home, and the local utility is an institution that takes care of this city.”

 

She is passionate about giving back and helping others. As a 20-year Rotarian, Rachel has served as the Rotary Club of Key West’s President, and as a past Assistant Governor and Rotarian of the Year twice. She provides a wide array of service to the community, and for her extensive contributions, Rachel is a Samuels’ House Woman of Integrity recipient.
