Sam Kaufman has proudly served the people of Key West as District II City Commissioner since 2015 and as Vice Mayor from 2018–2024. An attorney and small business owner, Sam brings experience, independence, and a record of standing up for residents, neighborhoods, and local businesses.
Sam is running for Mayor to restore trust at City Hall and ensure decisions are made openly, not behind closed doors. He believes Key West deserves honest government, fiscal responsibility, and clear long-term planning.
Throughout his service, Sam has championed water quality protections, public safety support for first responders, responsible budgeting, and community-driven solutions to affordability and infrastructure challenges.
