Danise “Dee Dee” Henriquez is a lifelong Key West resident, public servant, and the current Mayor of Key West. With more than 31 years of public service, she has built a reputation for integrity, accessibility, and dedication to her community.
Before being elected mayor in 2024, Henriquez served for over 20 years as Monroe County Tax Collector, where she improved efficiency, modernized operations, and maintained strong financial accountability. During her tenure, the office received 20 consecutive excellent audits, and more than $80 million in unused fees were returned to taxpayers and local governments.
As mayor, she has focused on neighborhood quality of life, infrastructure, environmental stewardship, emergency preparedness, workforce housing, and responsible budgeting. Her administration has supported projects including local beach management, emergency readiness improvements, and housing partnerships.
