David Rice proudly announces his candidacy for Monroe County Commissioner, District 4. He is the longest-tenured Monroe County Commissioner, bringing 20 years of experience to the dais and representing a district spanning more than 40 miles from Tavernier to Marathon.
His campaign is built on the following principles: Improving transportation, environmental stewardship/water quality, and the current affordable housing situation. He understands the complexity of County government and believes it should be transparent, forward-focused, and accessible.
Rice has lived in the Florida Keys for 53 years and is the founder of the Guidance Clinic, where he acted as a clinical psychologist for 30 years. In his retirement, he has dedicated 20 years to multiple civic organizations, previously serving on the boards of the Monroe County Housing Authority, Rural Health Network, and more.
He respectfully asks for your vote for re-election to keep Monroe County moving forward with steady, efficient leadership.
