Albert Kelley has practiced law for 32 years. He graduated with honors from Florida State University College of Law in 1989 after interning at the State Attorney’s Office in Lee County where he prosecuted criminal cases. Since moving to Monroe County in 1989 he has handled business/contracts law, landlord/tenant, small claims, collections, criminal defense, property, probate, and foreclosure.

Albert served as chairman of the Monroe County Career Service Council, a quasi-judicial agency. He has been a Supreme Court Certified mediator since 2008 and a Magistrate for the 16th Judicial Court since 2015. He serves on the 16th Judicial Circuit’s Pro Bono Committee and is Vice-Chairman of the 16th Judicial Circuit’s Professionalism Committee.

Albert served on the Boards of Florida Keys Children’s Shelter, Habitat For Humanity, the Key West Jaycees, Florida Keys Youth Club and Art Behind Bars. He has written over 500 legal newspaper columns and published 5 law books
